My First Pizza Ever — Made with the YANFLAMMA Smokeless Grill
You’ll never believe how I made this pizza.
For the record, this was the first pizza I’ve ever made.
And yes, I made it with the YANFLAMMA Smokeless Grill.
This wasn’t just my first time making pizza on the YANFLAMMA Grill. It was my first time making pizza, period.
I had never made pizza dough before. I didn’t have a special recipe. I didn’t have a perfect plan.
I just watched a few videos online, learned the basic steps, and decided to give it a try.
And honestly? I thought it was going to be much harder.

I Just Followed My Gut
When I first looked at how to make pizza dough, I thought, Wow, there are a lot of steps.
Mix the ingredients.
Knead the dough.
Let it rise.
Shape it.
Add the toppings.
Then somehow get the whole thing cooked properly.
It sounded like a lot for someone making their first pizza.
But instead of overthinking it, I decided to just follow my gut and see what happened.
I started with warm water, yeast, and sugar. After giving it a good stir, I added olive oil, salt, and flour.
I mixed everything together until it became a shaggy dough, then moved it onto a floured board and started kneading.
It took a little time, but eventually the dough became smooth.
I oiled the bowl, put the dough back in, covered it, and let it rise somewhere warm.
Then I waited.
And waited.
Until finally, the dough had doubled in size.
Okay… I think I’m actually making pizza.
Time to Build My First Pizza

After the dough had risen, I punched out the air and divided it in half.
I shaped the pieces into balls and let them rest for another 30 minutes.
Then came the fun part.
I took one piece of dough and started shaping it into a pizza.
Was it perfectly round?

No.
Did it look like something from a professional pizza restaurant?
Definitely not.
But I was having fun.
I added the sauce, spread it around, covered it with plenty of cheese, and threw some bacon on top.
At this point, I was ready to see what would happen.
Could the YANFLAMMA Grill Handle It?

This was actually one of the things I was curious about.
Since I was making pizza for the first time, I wasn't sure how the YANFLAMMA Smokeless Grill would perform.
I had already been burning charcoal, so I figured the grill was ready.
Time to put my first pizza on.
And honestly, the cooking process was much smoother than I expected.
I closed the lid and let the grill do its job.
About 15 minutes later, I opened it up.
And…
I made pizza.
My first pizza ever.
Not Perfect — But That's the Point

Was it perfect?
Not even close.
But I didn't expect it to be.
What surprised me was how much I enjoyed the entire process.
From making the dough for the first time to putting the pizza on the YANFLAMMA Grill, everything felt like a little experiment.
And the grill did a great job.
I started this thinking there were going to be so many things that could go wrong. Instead, the actual process was pretty smooth, and the YANFLAMMA Grill handled the cooking better than I expected.
Of course, there are things I want to improve next time.
Maybe I'll shape the dough better.
Maybe I'll change the toppings.
Maybe I'll figure out an even better way to cook it.
But that's what makes cooking fun.
You don't have to get everything right the first time.
You just have to start.
My First Pizza, My Way
The funny thing is, I didn't follow a specific pizza recipe.
I didn't search for the "perfect pizza recipe."
I didn't create one either.
I just learned the basics, followed the steps that made sense to me, and trusted my instincts along the way.
And that's probably what I enjoyed most about this experience.
It wasn't about making a perfect pizza.
It was about making my first pizza.
And now that I've done it once, I'm already wondering how much better I can make it next time.
So, no.
It wasn't a perfect pizza.
But it was a pretty perfect cooking experience.
And I'm pretty sure this won't be my last pizza.
